Delegation
20/08/2025Some times it is not easy to let go. You feel like doing everything by yourself. To scale yourself, it is extremely important to delegate the core tasks whether it be your work related ones or personal things. It will just free up your time for important things
Taking action
18/08/2025Its easy to read stuff and know the ideas, but things make a good difference when you get your hands dirty. When you actually do the action part of it, then it makes all the difference.
Aim long term
14/08/2025Build sustainable day, every day try to get maximum work, maximum entertainment, make time for health, make time for people, there wont be a day tomorrow where you can say, i will just start after i finish this thing. Whatever new habits or routine we are building, ensure it is a sustainable one. In the sense, waking up at 3.30am may sound very productive, you get lots of focused time. But, one thing we are missing out is how our mental state at the time is or are you getting enough sleep, if you want to get enough sleep when you will have to sleep. All this makes it not sustainable, rather if we push it to 5.00 in the morning. now everything is balanced. Start work by max 8.00am, start wrapping up for the day at 5.00 pm and be back home and in your personal time at least by 6.30 or 7.00 pm. Then, we will have a sustainable routine and also on a daily basis, work on something which you really want to do in future interms of taking action which helps maintain your will power and which again helps in all aspects of life.
Discipline is key
13/08/2025Things get chaotic when you get overwhelmed by short term urgency and give up on the things you do as part of your routine. The short term urgency goes away after a bit of time and you will be left with a chaotic mind and lifestyle.
Weekend getaway
05/08/2025Last weekend, we went on a trekking to Kodachadri. Damn, i never thought we wont be having network for two days. It was amazing, no frequent slack pings, no need to check whatsapp, just detached from your online world for two days with nature. It was amazing and indeed refreshing. It just makes me more energised for the upcoming weeks of great work.
Sleep well

Learn, enjoy and do whatever you want
30/07/2025We all get stuck in the thinking loop on what if this, i have things to do. A simple approach can be, life is short and just do it whatever you want to do. Make sure you are not going too much in another direction, a weekly check can give that direction as well.
Deep Focussed state
28/07/2025Ever got into this meditative state, where just listen to what you are thinking. You are trying to connect with your subconscious, you are actually telling how you should be feeling. It just make a huge difference, in the sense you will have a bit more clariy on things, a bit more idea on how to do things and bit more motivation and will power. Well, give it a try.
Music and motivation
24/07/2025Music can help to alter your mood. If you dont have enough energy to get started, or lots of chaos going on in the mind, tuning into a calm and soothing tunes would help to get up to speed. Check it out when you are feeling overwhelmed or lots of things are on your plate.
Doing more in less time
23/07/2025What if we assume our time is less, and we have x things to do. I think we should be able to do more things to do in less time.
Idle time
22/07/2025Have you observed you get ideas when your mind is free and is not bothered by things. and have you also observed we as humans dont like idle time. We try to fill in all our idle time with going through those social media feeds, looking at news, watching reels, seeing statuses, etc. Most of the time, I get good ideas during my idle time. I try to have more idle time, or reducing the other things which get creeped into our time.
Correlation between sleep and motivation
21/07/2025Ever observed this, when you had a deep and good sleep the previous night, you may have experienced high motivation and drive to do things. There is always a tendency to reduce sleep to get more things done, however, it usually does not the way we want to work rather it would have a repercussion.
Coaching people
18/07/2025There are some days, where you really are too occupied with lots of things. One after another you solve. Then you day ends. The one thing I realised is the importance of training people so that you can delegate some of the things you can handle to some one else. We often underestimate the importance of this. There is no way you can scale unless you figure out who can do the work on your behalf.
Reducing the number of things to do
17/07/2025Some times our things to do get too much and we really dont do much. But rather if we try to reduce those things, in the sense you may be wanting to do 5 things. And you end up not having time. What if you pick the most important one. Have some time for yourself. Isnt that great.
Relaxed Mind
16/07/2025A relaxed mind brings in clear thoughts where as chaotic mind really doesnt help and goes into a paralysis mode.
Building agents
15/07/2025Looks exciting isnt it. Just look at the things you do on a daily basis, ask who can do it and can it be delegated to an automation or an agent. It would free up your time.
Having the goal
14/07/2025I feel you always need some thing to look forward to. It just gives the motivation to continue. A simple thing can be building something new, or going on a vacation on the coming weekend, or talking to someone, etc. Whatever it be, having something to look forward to in near short term as well as long term tends to have good impact on the amount of motivation we will get to do things.
Dont optimise but build new things
09/07/2025Im talking this from a software engineering work perspective. Usually, as something extra we mostly look up to optimise the system, the process, etc. Efor sure, but a better way would be to build something new which was not there before. This will face lots of challenges and it comes with lots of learning. And what it does to you as a person would be an increase in will power and drive. It just feels good, when you are inspired every day. Nothing really matters more than just feeling good every day and having fun doing the same work you are doing. People tends to say its the money that come after what motivates the people. But, it is not that really. After certain a point, money cannot inspire, it is only these small things and the people around you which will help you with sustaining your inspirations.
Analysising the motivation map
08/07/2025At different times of the day, your motivations and energy levels will be different for doing different tasks. If you are working on one thing and you couldnt contribute much, then the motivation goes down for a moment. You really need to figure out some instant wins to get back the motivation. If this has to do with the work, now there are also some external factors like energy levels and time. Your energy levels might be really high in the morning, it may not be the case in the evening or afternoon. For me, the afternoon i find very difficult to do focussed work which involved designing or implementing a solution. It can be perfectly used for debuggings, meetings, discussions. My morning time and late evenings works well for the deep work for me. Once you understand this, next step would be to allot the task to the respective time. How are we going to do that. Sometime, you may exceed and most of the time you will not as usually the work involved collaborating and you will not be spared alone. Having awareness of this energy levels really helps and it will help to plan the day well.
Reading 5 mins before sleep
07/07/2025Most of us go to bed watching your favorite show or a movie, I used to do so. Last week I tried some thing different, I had a hypothesis where if we read a book for 5 or 10 mins just before sleep, it tends to have some effects on the mood when you wake up. I noticed an improvement in the inspiration and will power level in the morning. It was easy to get up and get going. Give it a try.
