Warming up mind with postivity

Even when things are not going the way you wanted to be, the one. thing which helps is to tune your brain with positive things happened during the previous day. Just collect all the happy thoughts, just go through one by one in the morning. once you are in the good state, new ideas, new ways of solving problems, just kicks in. It can do wonders.

Things will change

Making time as asset

Time flies. Making your time investment daily or weekly on where you want to go or what you want to achieve will make a huge difference. If we be ignorant on that, then we always say, time flies.

Journalling thoughts early morning

Waking up early is just indeed a pleasure experience. You just feel good and you are not in a rush. Take care of your morning rituals, and would be ready for your day early. It just makes life easier. One of the things which I started doing is journalling in the morning, just helps to know what thoughts are going through your mind. When it is written down, you feel light and gain wisdom from the thoughts.

Invest in relationships

All folks which you like would not be around forever. And if you dont invest your time over there, you may lose them and grow apart. We are social beings and relationships helps to push ourselves when things get harder. In the modern world where we chase career achievement and money, we dont give enough time until its too late.

High dopamine of short media

We may not realise this, when we are bored or so tired, we tend to open youtube shorts or instagram reels, scrolling over X or linkedin, the place where we get instant dopamines. And the contents are different which stays for short time. The impact if we closely observe is, once you watch shorts, how is the energy towards other mentally demanding tasks? Was it easier to do certain tasks or did it became difficult you felt like procrastinating. Its an interestinng experimenting to know the influence of social media on our behaviour and our go to default options.

Prepared Mind and Body

Its easier to do more things in less time when you have a focussed mind and a healthy body. Often we skip taking care of physical health for more time to work, this most of the time results in counter productive. The work get filled in all the newly created time, which we could have done as well just taking care of physical health through exercise in the limited window.

Not getting distracted

Its easy to get distracted in a day as well as in long term goals. Sometimes we worry and we postpone things which we are supposed to do for some other urgent things. Most of the time, i have realised, that urgency just goes away with time. I always think, it would have been better if I stay right on track without getting distracted by the noises.

Discovering

Routines

Stick to your routines. Stick to your fixed working hours every day. Start at the same time, finish at the same time. Be consistent. It is easy to take home work. But it is not sustainable. Creating the routine mentality is easier which would help in creating time for everything which we need to do and keep our mind relaxed.

Time and motivation management

Some times we optimise for time, then end up in a situation where you have more time but you dont want to do a thing. Thats hilarious. If you have less time, you may end up motivated and get more things done. Things behaves very counter intuitively at times.

Reflecting and restructuring

Ever wondered times, where your energy times get spend on things which you dont want to do and then you are left with time periods where your energy is down and not able to do anything. The only way is to have more time where you have atmost control of your time. Move max things to your less energy timings.

All times are not equal

If you have observed our energy levels are different at different period of the day. Some time of the day is very much helpful to do core work, while some time of the day, even if you put lots of effort you wont be able to do any core work. We can maximum out of this if we can identify our core active zones and put our cognitive demanding tasks over there. Less demanding one can be moved to when you are not that in zone.

Not Giving into urgencies

Often we get distracted by the urgencies created by our mind. Most of the time those urgencies never really exist and it might just be in our mind.

How do we stay calm and collect our thoughts even when you have lots of things going on. You get things to look into. How do we stay focussed. well, its an interesting problem to solve.

More work

What i have observed is, the more work, the better you feel good even though you dont feel when you are doing it. And you are more happy about it. Hustling sutainably would be the best approach. Taking out time to get energised in a week, month, quarter, etc. Weekends can be used for energising, quarterly vacation to rekindle the spirit. On week days, more on work, learning new things, etc. This keeps things at a balance or we say hustling sustainably.

Making use of time

I just saw this random post where it showed how much years we have in our life and how effectively we spend our time. We all have lots of time and how many hours did we end up scrolling shorts or watching streaming for entertainment. We may think, the health and energy which we have would be forever, but reality is far way diferent. Have a review of your week and see where you are spending your time.

A Good night sleeps

Most of the time a peaceful and deep sleep is all its needed to get back your energy. But, even though we know this, we rarely give that importance to it. We will priortise watching that extra episode of a TV show or stretching your work for that extra 1 hour, or waking up a bit early without getting adequate sleep. Its not sustainable for the body. The day would be more productive if we had priortised a nights sleep over other things.
